Foreign crews in Finnish national rallies

In 2005 it is possible for a foreign crew to take part in Finnish national rallies. There are some limitations to whom this is allowed and what things one must understand when coming to Finland. Since there seems to be quite a lot of interest towards driving a national rally in Finland, we have tried to create some guidelines/information to all interested in coming and competing here.

Usually Finland follows international rules, but there are some exceptions. If you want to come and drive in groups A or N, and your car fullfills the international rules, there most likely is no problem with the Finnish rules and regulations. But if your car does not belong to those groups, then it has to fullfill our national group (group F) rules. We also have Historic rallies, and we apply the international historic rally technical rules and regulations with those events. If your car is internationally valid for historic rallies, it most likely will suit also to our regulations. But in national historic rallies we drive up to period H1 (1975).

Here are two documents, the first one is a general set of things you should know when coming to drive in Finland (licences, insurance, safety equipment for drivers etc...) and the second one is the technical rules of our national group F with some national admedments to safety regulations.
