Have a question about the E36 in the FCUP series ..
Im planning is running an E36 BMW in the series, that gives me a selection of the coupe, 4 door, and Compact. I want to run the 3.0L M3 motor in the car. I have a Compact E36 but my main problem is that the Compact never came with the 3.0L M3 engine. Technically its an e36 and it came in the 4 door coupe and E36, so I can run it in the compact in the 3000cc class?
Also, I'm aware that I can not Lighten the exterior of the car, but can I remove interior sheet metal panels to Lighten it?
Thank you all in advance! This is really the only place I can find info on anything FCUP in English.

Is the E36 Compact homologated? Because if it is not, you cannot use it in group F. Also you must use homologated motor or a motor which is similar (from outside) to the homologated.
So your options with E36 in my mind are the 4 door or the Coupe

Thats actually another thing I'm haviing a hard time with. Finding which cars are homologated for use in FCUP. Could you point me in the right direction?

Pages 72 - 86, every car which has a letter f in the end, those are the ones you can use. Of course if the car has had a turbo or 4WD you must have take it out.
You can use every single car which international homologation has expired (groups 1, 2, A and N).

Thank you!! I've been looking everywhere for info like that!
Kinda a bummer that the E36-Compact isnt allowed but no biggy. Guess I'll be getting the EK Civic 1.6L. Is there any special cage requirements? I understand you can't lighten the outside of the car, but can I remove interior metal panels?
You've been a great help =) Thanks again!

Hey guys,
Alright so I got an EK Civic and a B16 engine.
Looking into dogbox transmissions and coilovers at the moment.
Still stuck on the lightening the car thing. What can I remove? Interior metal? Just trying to find out what I can take out to lighten it since I cannot add lightweight panels etc.
Thank you!

Regs says U cant remove sheetmetal from the bodyshell itself or from doors/bonnet/tailgate. Like doors/b/t inside sheetmetal structure must be original, even under the doorcards. Safety 1st. No lightening possibilities here.
U can remove things like carpet, rear seat, lower section of dash/centre console etc, and doorcards can replaced with thin (1mm) alusheets. Heat and noise insulation U can rip out.
Glass-stuff: must be original or similar; means orig. thickness glass.
