I'm looking for studded tires for my rally cars. Of course I know Pirelli and BFG/Michelin, we've been using them in previous years. But now I'm looking for different brands. I know Lappi, Black Rocket. Does anybody have any experience with those tires? Unfortunately in champonships we need to use short studs but as far as I know both Lappi and BR are making them also.

I do not start rating different tyre manufacturers. There are as many opinions as users. Prices are also different for Pirelli and BFG comparing to others. Anyway one brand that you did not mention is TIMI.

Studded rally tyres also available from Avon, Silverstone and Yokohama...

Sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean by that?

I would like to say that forget to nail the studds by yourself... That work is very demanding because of the glue you must use. If you have only one head for your studd gun, that will stuck many times during the process.. And still I'm 100 % sure that the final result is not as good as it would be as made by professionals.

There will not be any saving of money but vice versa.

I'm trying to find relatively the chepaest way to ice-rallying.
The best is to buy new Pirelli or BFG tires, but it's too expensive for private rallying (about 200Euro for tyre).

Probably the optimal choice is to buy second hand tires.
I've asked many people advertising on nettivaraosa.com, but nobody answered my email, probably don't speak English.
I've just aksed if it's possible to send me these tires via DHL etc.
