Siim Plangi, one of the young and fast Estonians in rally scene who just turned 22 got a dream come true birthday present. He gets a chance to drive Peugeot 208 T16 R5 car in auto24 Rally Estonia, round of FIA ERC on 17-19th of July. The car comes from Peugeot Sport and will be run by Sainteloc. This project has a very positive influence on Estonian Autosport and it was born in cooperation between Peugeot Sport and Peugeot Baltic.

Esapekka Lappi ja Janne Ferm starttaavat tänään alkavaan EM-sarjan kuudenteen osakilpailuun Belgiassa 29 pisteen sarjajohdossa. Sarjapromoottori AKK Sports Oy lanseerasi Ralli SM -sarjassa tällä kaudella kilpailun, jossa etsittiin suomalaista rallilupausta. Neljän osakilpailun jälkeen pääsi neljä nuorta kuljettajaa finaalitesteihin. Valinta kohdistui kuljettajaan, jonka raati katsoi omaavan parhaan kehityspotentiaalin pitkälle tulevaisuuteen. - Tässä ei haettu yhden kisan voittajaa, vaan huippu-urheilijaa jolla on parhaat edellytykset menestyä pitkällä tähtäimellä rallissa ja rakentaa uraa, täsmensi Ralli SM -sarjan promoottori Kai Tarkiainen valintakriteereitä. Voittajaksi valittiin joukon kuopus, 20-vuotias tuusulalainen Teemu Suninen.
Toomas 'Topi' Heikkinen will head back to Finland to prepare for his home round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship later this month firmly in the fight for the coveted title – despite losing out on a shot at the final in Hell today.
