Pärn and Morgan have won two first rounds in Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy. They are ready for the fast and demanding stages in Finland and the goal for Rally Finland is to show a good and stabile pace, finish rally on the podium and secure their first position in Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy.
Last week Pärn and Morgan had a 100 km test in Finland with Ford Fiesta R2 car. The road they used for the stage was the same where Volkswagen Motorsport works driver Jari-Matti Latvala had a test earlier this week.
„We are very happy with the test and to be honest I have never before tested in such good conditions. Even though Craig Breen and Jari-Matti Latvala with WRC cars used this section before, the road was still in a very good condition. It was a hot day with temperatures over 30 degrees and we used the same DMACK tyre we’re going to use in Neste Oil Rally Finland. It was a really busy day and we’ve found a good setup for Finnish stages,” said Pärn
Pärn and Morgan are the leaders of the series, gap between them and Tom Cave in the second place is 19 points. Pärn has already made a strategy for Finland.
„We have decided that we will start the rally with good and stabile pace. But in the same time we’re not gonna push the limit. We will keep our eyes on our competitors, especially on Tom Cave who is our nearest rival. This will let us have something in reserve in case we need to fight for the position. Our goal for Rally Finland is to finish the rally on the podium and secure our first position in Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy,” said Pärn.
Total five rallies are in the series calendar, Pärn and Morgan have won two of them, Rally Portugal and Rally Poland. After Rally Finland Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy series continues with Rallye Deutschland and Rally Catalunya. The winner will come away with a remarkable full seven-round WRC 2 campaign using’s M-Sport popular Ford Fiesta R5 in the Drive DMACK World Rally Team.
