Set Promotion and their driver Timur Timerzyanov had a successful weekend at Montalegre, Portugal, where the European Rallycross Championships started. Timerzyanov won the final of division 1A. He led from start to finish with his Renault Clio. For Timerzyanov, a-23-years-old driver Kazan, Tatarstan, this was his second career ERC-win.
– What a great weekend for all of us. Timur was the fastest man out there already after the heats and qualification. He started from pole and led it all the way to the checkered flag. This was a perfect way to start, chief mechanic Toni Reunanen told.
– I concentrated on my driving and tried to keep it very smooth and tidy. In the last lap I saw that I had a good lead so I was very happy with that, Timerzyanov said according to the ERC24.com.
After the winning base at Portugal, its only few days before the next challenge. ERC-serie will move up to France for the next weekend.
