3-time European Champion Jussi Pinomäki will return to the sport at Höljes, Sweden. A Finnish rallycross ace has scheduled two races to his agenda. Pinomäki returns with division 1A Renault Clio in Sweden (3.-4.7.) and at Kouvola, Finland (10.-11.7.).
– It´s nice to back again. We have two identical Clio´s in our team, so I decided to take a drive. I love Höljes´s circuit and for sure I want to drive in my homeground Finland. Competion will be hard, I´ve seen it already. I have no special aims. We all must remember, that I haven´t been driving 2-wheeldrive car for a 18 months, so Höljes might be a kind of learning curve for me, Pinomäki says.
Pinomäki runs his own Set Promotion team, so now he have two tasks: a driver and a teamchief.
Team´s regular driver Timur Timerzyanov will get a totally rebuilt Clio machine. A driver from Tatarstan had a bad accident on the latest race at Hungary, and his car was destroyded quite heavily. Timerzyanov is lying 2nd on points after 4 races, so now he aims to take the topspot again.
– We have worked hard with his car. Now we are ready, and for sure Timur´s aim is to win, Pinomäki says.
