Timur Timerzyanov continued his successs in the European Rallycross Championship, this time at Cohiniac, France. He scored 2nd place in division 1A with his Set Promotion backed Renault Clio. 2nd round of the ERC-season was won by local ace and polesetter Steven Bossard.
– For us as a Renault team, competing in France, I´m very pleased with this result. Timur did a perfect job once again. We were racing on the homeground of Bossard´s, so the 2nd place is really a good one. And what is notable, Timur´s times were getting better and better after every single lap and heat. So, we improved a lot during the weekend, and that is always a good sign, said Set Promotion team chief Jussi Pinomäki.
Timerzyanov, a 23-years-old tatarstanian, won the 1st ERC event in Portugal. After the two first rounds he is leading the championship by 7 points.
