It´s time for the 3rd round of the European Rallycross Championship, and the drivers and the teams has travelled to Lydden Hill, England. As usual in UK, the action will take place on Sunday and Monday.
Turku-based Set Promotion has prepared the new Renault Clio for their Tatarstanian star Timur Timerzyanov. After two races Timur is leading the championship at division 1A.
– Yes, we have built the all-new car for Timur. We had very promising and troublefree shakedown in Finland on Monday. Timur was pleased and we were pleased. Actually the car has been ready to race for the few weeks, but we decided to start the season with the old machine, and make sure that this new one will be as competive as it could be, team chief Jussi Pinomäki says.
– Timur is leading the championship, so for sure our expectations are high. He knows this track already from the past, and with this new car he should be able to fight for the win once again. That´s our goal anyway, Pinomäki says.
